Accidents must be reported before re-crossing the border to ANA Seguros at the number 01-800-911-911-9 or to the Mexican Authorities. You will be attended by a bilingual operator and will have an adjuster assigned, who whenever possible will meet you at the accident site. Please be sure to obtain all the documentation related to your claim, especially your claim number since it will be of vital importance in following up your case. Please review with the adjuster the next steps that you must follow in order to have your claim finalized.
The adjuster will intercede between you, third parties involved and the legal authorities. His job is to help you in case of an accident and your cooperation is very important.
If you are using a mobile phone, please note that some Carriers do not cover in Mexico and your call may not be processed as dialed and then you will hear a recording in Spanish indicating you this fact. The Company does not handle recordings since an operator attends all calls. It is highly suggested that you use a private phone or a public pay phone to call The Company. Pay Phone Cards can be purchased at Convenience Stores or Drug Stores.
Failure to report a Claim before re-crossing the border may impede or affect your right to be indemnified according to the conditions of your policy.
Please abstain from coming to personal agreements with the other parties involved in the accident without your adjuster’s assistance and take all precautions advisable to prevent further damages.
It is important taking into account that you are in a foreign Country and the laws and traffic regulations are different from those in the United States of America or Canada.

Important
The Government of Mexico determines the Terms and Conditions of automobile insurance policies affording coverage for tourists in Mexico. These Insurance Policies differ in many ways from policies issued in The United States of America or Canada.
In Mexico, being involved in car accident is considered a felony and in some cases the authorities can detain the driver as well as the vehicle. Even though the Legal Aid coverage is “optional” to buy, it is very important to have it included in your policy by paying the corresponding premium.
